Board of Trustees

Though founded in 1935, Chadwick School was incorporated as the non-profit Roessler-Chadwick Foundation in 1963. There are currently 20 voting members of Chadwick’s Board of Trustees, each nominated for three-year terms. They assist the headmaster in guiding and governing the school through prudent evaluation and financial management. Each of the members has a breadth of skills to assist Chadwick School in reaching the goals of its mission.

The current Chair of the Board, Richard K. Learned, graduated from Chadwick in 1962. The Board meets six times per year and attends one retreat. Each member also serves on one of the five advisory committees, including:

  • Buildings and Grounds
  • Finance
  • Committee on Trustees
  • Advancement
  • Risk Management
There are also two ad-hoc committees:
  • Diversity
  • Master Planning
During its May meeting, the Board of Trustees invites seniors to speak with the Board about issues and activities that are important to them. Click here to learn more about the Trustee-Senior Idea Exchange.
