Library & Learning Resources
Chadwick School’s Donald L. Leavenworth Library Learning Center
was completed in November
1984 and later named for previous Headmaster Donald Leavenworth. In
1998, the library was totally renovated and expanded to a modern
facility of 11,656 sq. ft. The enhanced building includes the Village
Library, which serves grades K-6, and the Middle and Upper School
Library, which serves grades 7-12.
Our library collections
provide a diverse array of print and online resources for students,
teachers, parents, and other members of the Chadwick community.
The combined libraries include:
- More than 35,000 books, videos, and DVDs
- The Chadwick Local History Room
- Two conference rooms
- An audio-visual room
- A Story Corner reading area
- Reading and periodical lounges
- Technology areas with desktop computers and wireless laptops
- Rotating and permanent displays of Chadwick student artwork
Chadwick's parent volunteer group, the Friends of the Library,
actively provides time, talent and financial support to the library.
