Welcome to the Village School
Margaret Chadwick was a pioneering educator who understood that a school should teach academic subjects well, while at the same time developing students’ character, creativity, responsibility, independence, and social intelligence. This was a pioneering vision 80 years ago and guides us today.
Our particular approach to teaching and learning helps us graduate students who are well educated, have learned to use their minds well, and enjoy the process, effort, and challenge they find in learning.
Curiosity, openness to new experiences and differing viewpoints, and the disposition to continue learning are lasting benefits of a good education. This is the living legacy of Margaret Chadwick’s founding vision, one that we aspire to realize in the Village today. We hope to ignite a lifelong love of learning, build a supportive community, and challenge children to grow intellectually and personally.
