This accelerated summer Geometry Honors course is tailored for rising 8th, 9th, and 10th graders who meet the prerequisite requirements and are ready for a rigorous and challenging math experience. The course follows the traditional Geometry curriculum but emphasizes advanced topics such as extensive proof-writing, solid geometry, introductory vectors, analytic geometry, and trigonometry. Students engage in interactive lessons, collaborative projects, and technology-driven explorations. Due to the compressed nature of the course, students should expect 4 hours of homework daily and must commit to regular attendance.

Geometry Honors Prerequisites: A year-long grade of A- or higher in Algebra 1 Honors.

Eligibility for Advancement:

  • Students must earn a B or higher in summer Honors Geometry to advance to Honors Algebra 2 in the fall and must have earned an A in their previous Algebra I course or a B or higher in their previous Algebra I Honors.

Please Note: Open enrollment is available for 10th-grade students within established math course sequences, with course caps in place to manage class sizes effectively.
