Third-Graders Explore El Capitan for Outdoor Education Trip

The third-grade class met live reptiles and did a creek hike to the beach to do water testing as part of their first overnight outdoor education trip to El Capitan Canyon. The students learned about environmental science and Native American cultures on their three-day trip.

Chadwick Middle-Schoolers Win Award at National Rube Goldberg Competition

Five Chadwick Middle-Schoolers won "Best Final Step" at the National Rube Goldberg Machine competition in Chicago the weekend of April 21-22. The students' Rube Goldberg machine — a complicated contraption that uses a domino effect of devices to perform a simple task — won first place at regionals in L.A. earlier in the year.

Chadwick Students Featured in Southbay Magazine's "19 Under 19"

Four Chadwick students were featured for their passions inside and outside of the classroom, including global citizenship, environmental activism and Irish dancing, in Southbay magazine's "19 Under 19" issue.

Upper School Students Visit Cambodia for Spring Break

A group of Upper School students traveled to Cambodia over Spring Break to tour the area and work collaboratively on projects with new friends at the Easel School. The students learned more about the issues the region faces related to human trafficking and poverty.

Chadwick Chorus wins big at Heritage Festival in Anaheim

Chadwick's Upper School Chorus took home first place in their division at the prestigious Anaheim Heritage Festival and also won the Adjudicator's Award and the grand prize of Outstanding Choral Group. The last two are rare accomplishments, according to the judges, since Chadwick was from the smallest division, competing against schools much larger. Bravo to our students!

L.A. County Supervisor Janice Hahn visits Chadwick

Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn visited Chadwick Jan. 31. Hahn sat down and talked with students about their passion for community service and her mission as supervisor to tackle homelessness in L.A. "If you feel strongly about something that isn't right, speak up. Make your opinion known," she advised students. For a video of Hahn's visit, click here.
