Learn to Sail!

Is your child ready to take the helm and experience the thrill of competitive sailing? In this advanced-track program, students head to the LA Harbor to master the CFJ (Club Flying Junior), the very same 14-foot, two-person boat used in high school and college regattas across the country.

Through small session sizes, your child will receive personalized instruction from Certified US Sailing Instructors who are also CPR and First Aid certified. The goal for the week is for your child to become proficient in both essential roles: the skipper, who drives the boat, and the crew, who controls the leading sail (the jib). For a seamless experience, students are bused each morning from the Chadwick campus to the harbor and returned at the end of the day.

Note: All sailors must be able to pass a simple swim test to participate
