Summer Programs Overview: TK (Chadwick Minis)

The Chadwick Minis summer program offers our youngest campers a positive learning experience in a relaxed yet structured environment. This blend of summer fun, academic enrichment, artistic expression and athletic enjoyment primes students entering pre-K or Kindergarten with the foundational skills to transition with confidence. This program promotes a positive early learning experience where our youngest campers learn to interact with mutual respect and trust, in a stimulating, diverse and supportive environment.

Pre-K Explorers (Ages 4-5)
Kindergarten Jumpstart (Ages 4-5)

Pre-K Explorers (Ages 4-5)

For students attending pre-k in the fall:

In this class, students will participate in engaging activities led by a credentialed teacher and an assistant teacher. Find a Chadwick Minis Pre-K camp schedule here.

Indoor activities include structured play, science exploration, math games, and reading and writing skill development.
Outdoor activities on the playground encourage fun while developing motor skills through games, rhythm and movement.
Art lessons in our studio introduce students to basic art media such as paint, watercolor and pastels, using a wide variety of materials. Projects allow for creative expression and growth.
Music class fosters children’s love for music by inviting Chadwick Minis to play simple instruments, and participate in dance and movement activities.
Swim time happens two times a week. Our goal is to help children feel safe and have fun in the water. The adult-to-student ratio is one-to-two, and a team of lifeguards monitor the pool at all times. Children do NOT have to be able to swim in order to participate. All lifeguards are Red Cross certified, which includes lifesaving, CPR and first aid.

Kindergarten Jumpstart (Ages 4-5)

For students entering kindergarten in the fall:

In these classes, students will get ready for their kindergarten experience, whether they will be at Chadwick or another school. In addition to readiness skills for reading, writing, and number sense, students will also learn and practice classroom procedures and routines. These include learning how to wait, walk in line, attend to a speaker and follow directions. Socially, they will have practice in adjusting to new situations and collaborating in play and learning activities with other children. This week-long program begins the week after Chadwick School ends and before Chadwick Summer Programs begin, offering a variety of exciting classes to choose from. Students can take a Passport Week class as a stand-alone or combine it with our regular Summer Programs options as a great way to kick off the summer!

Encore Week: July 28 - Aug. 1, 2025
This week-long program begins the week after Chadwick Summer Programs ends and offers an engaging mix of classes to keep your summer of fun and inspired learning going strong!

Rookie Robotics (Grades K-2)

Explore the world of technology and education with our engaging courses designed for K-2 students. These sessions will cover programming, robot building, and digital media production, fostering linguistic, logic, creative, scientific and communication skills crucial for student development.

Super Moverz (Grades K-5)

Super Moverz is a dynamic, all around sports and character development program that sweeps players into a gamified world of live action adventures, specially designed to help power up real-life abilities, for kids grades K-5.

From the first day of camp, players become fully immersed in a wide range of supercharged-role-play games that combine animated storylines, pumping music and super cool equipment (foam zabers, frisbee shields, softi balls, inflatable barriers, rock hoppers, etc.) aimed at keeping the fun flowing and energy ongoing!
Throughout the camp week, players actively engage in developing their many physical skills (throwing, catching, striking, agility, spatial awareness, etc.) while also learning how to work within a team to build the important 'soft skills' of communication, collaboration and emotional regulation.
Each day of camp, players unite with their multi-age teams to compete in various games and challenges to earn points towards their overall scores. Sometimes they play games with only kids from their close age group and other times they play with all the age groups in a safe and controlled set up. This provides a chance for the older players to take leadership roles and builds a sense of camaraderie between all.
There are also 'special activation' days throughout the week, where campers engage in larger team challenges, such as: Wet and Wild (water play with massive slip and slide) and the Spartan Race (huge obstacle course with a zip line, rock hoppers and a rope swing). At the end of the week, every camper receives a full pack of personalized player cards, including their own photos and power levels, that are connected to the categories of: safety, unity, energy and reaction.

Super Moverz Makerspace Aftercare (Grades K-8)

SuperMoverz MakerSpace a after-party builder session (3:30 - 5 p.m.) offered to campers who would like to join the Maker Space Lab, where they get to engage in design oriented activities such as: creating avatars with EVA foam, designing foam battle toys with PVC and noodle foam, developing new real-life game ideas to be tested out at camp throughout the week.
