For students attending pre-k in the fall:

In this class, students will participate in engaging activities led by a credentialed teacher and an assistant teacher. Find a Chadwick Minis Pre-K camp schedule here.

• Indoor activities include structured play, science exploration, math games, and reading and writing skill development.
• Outdoor activities on the playground encourage fun while developing motor skills through games, rhythm and movement.
• Art lessons in our studio introduce students to basic art media such as paint, watercolor and pastels, using a wide variety of materials. Projects allow for creative expression and growth.
• Music class fosters children’s love for music by inviting Chadwick Minis to play simple instruments, and participate in dance and movement activities.
• Swim time happens two times a week. Our goal is to help children feel safe and have fun in the water. The adult-to-student ratio is one-to-two, and a team of lifeguards monitor the pool at all times. Children do NOT have to be able to swim in order to participate. All lifeguards are Red Cross certified, which includes lifesaving, CPR and first aid.

For students entering kindergarten in the fall:

In these classes, students will get ready for their kindergarten experience, whether they will be at Chadwick or another school. In addition to readiness skills for reading, writing, and number sense, students will also learn and practice classroom procedures and routines. These include learning how to wait, walk in line, attend to a speaker and follow directions. Socially, they will have practice in adjusting to new situations and collaborating in play and learning activities with other children.
