Upper School Academics / Curriculum

Because we teach through experiences, it’s natural for our Upper School students to take a hands-on approach to their academics and co-curriculars. Instead of sitting at their desk and taking notes while their teacher delivers a lecture, they’re up at the front of the room working things out on the board or in the lab. They’re chatting with teachers before and after class. They’re tossing out ideas with peers, getting feedback and mastering concepts as a whole. Our curriculum lends itself to student agency and ownership of their learning.

How do you define a champion? At Chadwick, our athletic programming is an exceptional way to teach our Core Values of respect, responsibility, honesty, fairness and compassion. These are all qualities that champions possess and display. The success of Chadwick’s Athletics Program stems from student-athletes who live and breathe our Core Values. From practice to game day, our athletes are coached to compete with character.
